Conversion Tools for Biota 1 Data Files

If you are a Biota 1 user, and you want to try out a Biota 1 Data File under Biota 2, be certain to open a copy of the Biota 1 Data File.

Conversion to Biota 2 Data File format is permanent, and cannot be undone.

Although in most cases the conversion goes smoothly simply by opening the Biota 1 Data File with Biota 2, you may need special tools, which are especially recommended if you have images in your Biota 1 Data File. These tools and full instructions are posted in the Biota 1 Site section of this Web site.

You will need your Biota 1 Registration number to access the Biota 1 Site, which includes a full, special version of Biota 1 to help with the conversion. If you have lost your Registration number, please contact Robert Colwell.
