New Species Table for Biota Version 1.1 and Later
Biota version 1.1 and later versions include eight new fields in the Species table that do not appear in Appendix A of the Biota manual or in released Biota versions 1.0, 1.0.1, or 1.0.2. The new fields are: Subspecies, Subsp Author, Variety, Variety Author, Common Name, Distribution, Type Locality, and Type Depository. Note that the last four of these new fields are renamable (italicized).
New Locality Table for Biota Version 1.2 and Later
Biota version 1.2 and later versions include three new fields in the Locality table that do not appear in Appendix A of the Biota manual or in released Biota versions 1.0, 1.0.1, or 1.0.2. The new fields are: AltCoordinate1, AltCoordinate2 and AltCoordinate3. Note that all three of these new fields are renamable (italicized).
